Huge thanks and appreciation to our partners who helped make this past week's event such a success! The environment was full of smiles, heart, teamwork (and lots of sweat). Everyone came together for the cause and VIP guest, Tim Tebow, joined the event to share his appreciation for the hard work and efforts being made in our community.
Much needed words of thanks to the following people and efforts contributing to the overall success of the event:
❤️ Allstate volunteers brought many hands & supplies needed to the warehouse and left their mark in more ways than one. They sorted food, refurbished 4 flat bed carts, & constructed 2 large cabinets for food storage needed at our partner schools. We met some amazing Allstate agents throughout this wonderful day!
❤️ Florida Gators coaches and athletes joined the fun with the best of them. Always nice to bring our Gators for their workout in our warehouse!
❤️ Octagon team spent countless hours organizing all the details and communications between everyone for the event. They arrived the day before and came straight to the warehouse to start setting up, made trips to local rental & retail stores, made sure the volunteers left with food in their stomachs and everything in between. It was great working with them so closely on this project!
❤️ McCallum Cabinets here in Gainesville, Fl donated 2 more amazing cabinets to help store our food at some of our partner schools with limited space on campus. Having adequate space to store the food is critical as we grow to meet the needs at that site. Such generosity to help make a difference for our program and for the children we serve!
❤️ Sean Lewis Consulting donated 4 large flat beds carts to Food4Kids. These carts are a huge asset as we move food in, out, & around the warehouse. These carts move nicely over the pavement as we load food into vehicles for transport to our schools!
❤️ Tim Tebow added much excitement, kind words and hard work to the day. He shared his appreciation for our program and reiterated that we truly are making a difference to our local community while showing the kids we serve that we actually care about them. He took time to address Allstate and the volunteers with thanks for their hard work, and by joining us, also helped raise awareness toward efforts impacting childhood hunger. He helped check expiration dates (& we all know how intense that can be!), shook hands and said "thank you" countless times, took selfies with our volunteers, answered tons of media questions about coming back to Gainesville for this event and of course about sports, but it didn't stop there...he brought his full attention, genuine heart, and most importantly, he shared his time with us doing our thing with our team of volunteers at Food4Kids!
❤️ Keith Watson Productions and team, shared their amazing space in their front lobby as needed throughout the day. It was a briefing room at times and editing space at others. To be able to utilize this beautiful & not to mention cool space, was priceless and much appreciated!
❤️ Last but definitely not least, our local media and crews joined us to help share the event, raise awareness and share about the amazing support received from our very own, Tim Tebow, who finished his opening remarks to the team with "God Bless and Go Gators!"
We are so blessed to have the community behind our mission and providing the support needed to feed hungry kids who are potentially living in food insecure homes and at risk of going to bed hungry. Thank you ❤️ ... See MoreSee Less

“You’re worthy of us going out of our way. You’re life means something. We care about you. We love you. And all of those things are implied to what’s taking place here and the service that goes on. So, I think it’s more of just being able to give someone a meal.
“It’s being able to say you’re worth us going out of our way to care about you and your life means that much to us.”
